The most important AZImage features are:

Drag and drop files to the AZImage

You can simply drag and drop your files from any Windows Explorer window to the AZImage window to add them to the file list for the conversion.

Integration with Windows Explorer (extending context menus for images)

If you right click on one of the supported formats, the Context Menu is extended with a link to AZImage. You can either open your files with AZImage and convert them accordingly, or you simply select one of the previously used formats to do the whole job with only two clicks.

64 bit internal image representation

AZImage uses 64 bit per pixel to represent the image from the reading of the source file up right before the output in the final format. This prevents the information loss during the conversion and provides optimal results.

Proprietary resize algorithms

To enhance even more the output images, we use only proprietary resize algorithms that are able to make the most out of the 64 bit internal format. In other words, AZImage is one of the best image converters available with regard to the image quality.

Plugins to make AZ Image 2 simple to extend to other formats

Our plugin architecture allows us to extend AZImage support for new image formats without changing the main program. The standardized interface not only simplifies the programming, but means in future that third party image processing algorithms can be integrated as well.

Autoupdate over the internet

AZImage checks once a month if an update is available and prompts you to download and install it. The communication with our server runs encrypted and the signature of the update file is proven before the installation. This ensures excellent security. No data is sent to our server, except for the download requests.

Support for multiple processors

Most of the modern machines have two or more processor cores. AZImage can convert more images simultaneously, using your computer at its maximum.
