In order to be able to download and read books on your eBook reader you have to

===Install Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) from Adobe===

Open your browser and goto the installation page [http://www.adobe.com/de/products/digitaleditions/]. From the left side select Lauch to start the installer. (see the image on the right). You require a browser that supports Java and administrative rights on your local computer in order to be able to perform this. Once installed, the ADE icon is placed onto the desktop / into the Start menu.

==Buy the digital books==

Now is a good time to connect your eBook Reader and install the Reader software that is delivered on it. Do not do more at this time.

You will be required to open an user account at the respective shop as well. Once you have purchased the books, you will get the option to download them to your computer. For example for libri.de this is available under Mein Konto / Downloads / Meine eBooks. Clicking on the Download link / button will present you with a dialog like in the image on the left, promting you to open an .acsm file. This file once open with the Reader software will get associated with the Adobe account and contains the information to download the corresponding .epub file - which is nothing else than your eBook already linked to your Adobe account and computer.

This is done automatically in the Reader software, once your computer is authorized and linked to your Adobe account.

Now you can install and use the Reader software that ware delivered with your eBook to download and install DRM protected books (for example in epub format).

==Download the eBooks from your computer to your eBook Reader==
The downloaded books are shown in the Books tab in My Library. Once you connect the eBook Reader device it will add a new tab. Here you can decide which books are going to be downloaded to the device.
